Volunteer
Are you interested in donating some of your spare time? Looking to add some exercise to your daily routine? Help us by volunteering to engage with the animals! Whether you’re walking a dog or loving our cats, this activity is so important for these animals!
What does volunteering entail?

Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
If you are interested in volunteering, please click here to download our volunteer form. The form can be brought in to the shelter or emailed. Your first time volunteering at the shelter, you will be given a tour before you begin working with the animals. You must be at least 16 years of age in order to volunteer at the shelter on your own. If you are under the age of 16 you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Coordinator to help with Volunteers
Do you have community service hours for housing, school, etc.? You can complete them at the Shawano County Humane Society, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You must first complete the form which is linked above. When you bring your form to the shelter, you will have to set up a schedule with our Operations Director, Traci Hutchcraft or our Director, Pam Nowak.
